The Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority has completed, commissioned and handed over a project meant for partnership for expanded water supply, sanitation and hygiene (PEWASH MODEL), to Zeni/Balogun Alanamu community in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State

The project consists of Borehole drilling (reticulation works with 8 service points, 5.5KVA Tec generating set, 5000KVA stabilizer, 2 numbers of 2500 litres UPVC water tanks erected for a 1.5 metres loading bearing 9inches block, 2500 litres UPVC tank mounted on a constructed 2.1m block stands for toilets, generator set and construction of operators house), construction of Toilets.

The managing Director Engr. Adeniyi Saheed Aremu, while handing over the facilities urged the beneficiary community to make good use of the facilities and also cultivate good maintenance culture, so as to ensure the project serve its purpose.

Receiving the project on behalf of the Community, the youth leader Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulganiyu expressed his profound gratitude to the Authority and pledged that the community would make a judicious use of the facilities

In the same vein, the Balogun of Alanamu prayed for the Authority and promised that he would ensure that the facilities are put to good usage and well maintained.

The events was attended by the Managing Director in company of the Executive Director (PID) Engr. Rasheed Oyedeji, Executive Director (Engineering) Engr. M.A. Okara, Assistant Director (Civil) Engr. Kayode Sadiq and Chief Irrigation Engineer Engr. Ojo Moses.
